Moving from New York City to Connecticut, Carisa’s practice is rooted in person-centered, strength-based, recovery-oriented treatment that is trauma-informed and based on cultural humility. Integrating creativity, curiosity, and evidence-based techniques, Carisa helps clients navigate life-changing moments with self-compassion and patience. Since 2018, she has focused on empowering clients through holistic recovery and dual-specialty support in both mental health and substance use counseling.

Having emerged from her own seasons of change with renewed strength and gentle weaknesses, Carisa encourages clients to hold the tension of life’s turning points—recognizing that while these moments can feel dangerous, they also carry an inherent seed of opportunity. With experience in outpatient medication maintenance and private practice, she is highly skilled in crisis intervention and thrives on connecting clients with the community resources they need to flourish. Tapping into an integrative framework, she helps clients explore their inner landscape and find balance through both the tough transitions and the exciting leaps of faith.
