Caitlin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who graduated from UCONN with a BS in Communications Disorders and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies in 2008. While she initially pursued a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, Caitlin soon realized her strong desire to help others, leading her to become a therapist. She earned her Master's in Social Work from the UCONN School of Social Work in 2012, focusing on group work.
Caitlin completed her internship at the inpatient psychiatric unit of Bristol Hospital and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services for the State of Connecticut. Since then, she has worked in various settings, including the Institute of Living with individuals facing mental health and substance abuse disorders, providing in-home support to reunite families affected by parental substance use, and serving as a School Social Worker. Before transitioning solely to private practice, Caitlin supervised an in-home program for pregnant and new mothers.
In 2015, she began her private practice and opened Sky Meadow Counseling in 2022, later expanding to Sky Meadow Counseling and Wellness after recognizing the need for a multidisciplinary approach to therapy. Caitlin employs a client-centered approach that highlights the strengths of each individual with a holistic perspective. She is dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming environment to foster a strong therapeutic relationship with each client she serves through her therapy services.
Caitlin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker certified in Chronic Pain Reprocessing, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reiki II, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is currently trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Havening, actively pursuing certification in both.
At Sky Meadow Counseling, Caitlin serves as a Lyme Literate therapist, dedicated to assisting individuals and their support systems through the diagnosis and treatment process. Drawing from both personal and professional experiences, Caitlin understands the significance of healing physically and emotionally from tick-borne illnesses.
